**About the Role**

Real Community Services has casual positions available for caring and committed **Female Support Workers** in Pimpama and the Gold Coast area.

You will be supporting our Participants in their homes with various activities including daily living, community access, personal care, domestic duties and taking them to appointments as required. Our service requires you to support Participants high care needs to live as independently as possible. Flexibility is essential, there are shifts available from Monday to Sunday at 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Awake Shifts 8:00pm to 6:00am.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Personal care: dressing, toileting, and showering
- Domestic duties including meal preparation, shopping, housekeeping, and cleaning
- Assist Participants with medication
- High intensity support activities
- Complex needs for Participant with Primary diagnosis of Dementia-Alzheimer’s
- Provide community inclusion and support Participants to develop relationships and interests through access to community activities and services.

**Skills & Experience**
- Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities highly desirable
- Prior experience supporting clients with overnight awake shifts
- Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer’s
- Experience in managing continence aid
- Relevant nationally recognised qualification highly desirable
- Must have a QLD driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS ‘Worker Orientation’ module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- COVID 19 Infection Control certificate (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (2 doses required)
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
