The role will play an important part in shaping cricket's narrative to get more Australians to love and participate in our national sport.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial Communications, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Senior Manager, Commercial Communications and National Teams Communications Managers to support and execute PR plans across international cricket, including Australian Women's Team player profiling, men's and women's event promotion and social impact partners.
  • Supporting PR planning and execution for the Big Bash, including connecting PR initiatives across W/BBL and leveraging key milestones such as season launches.
  • Assisting in the management of agency relationships where relevant to deliver key PR campaigns that drive interest and awareness of cricket.
  • Supporting and executing PR plans for commercial, government and broadcast in relation to international, Big Bash and community cricket where required.
  • Leading and delivering PR plans for community cricket and inclusion programs, including Play Cricket Month, women and girls' initiatives and multicultural programs.
What we're looking for
  • 5 years' experience in a communications and/or PR role
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in journalism, communications, or marketing
  • A strong commercial mindset that can anticipate opportunities and risks
  • Experience delivering large-scale promotional plans and securing positive coverage for events
  • Proven ability to balance and prioritise multiple projects and stakeholders while meeting time-sensitive deadlines
What's in it for you?

Cricket Australia offers additional benefits including:

  • One additional week of annual leave at the end of the season
  • Tickets to cricket for you to share with friends and family
  • A flexible working environment that supports what you need and what works for the business (including remote options)
  • Discounts from partners such as ASICS and salary packaging options
  • A range of leave types including paid parental leave and volunteer leave
