**About the Role**

Ramsay Clinic Northside is a leader in providing quality mental health services and has a well established reputation in Sydney. We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic and professional **Career Medical Officer** to join our CMO team on a part-time basis

Our Career Medical Officer is responsible for managing the acute clinical care of patients and assisting in the provision of an efficient, safe and professional medical service to all patients in the Hospital under the direction of Specialists/Visiting Medical Officers (VMO’s).

In this role, you will:

- Conduct initial medical assessments of private patients referred for admission to the hospital
- Participate in ward rounds with the Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) daily and assist with the management of these patients
- Medication management
- Undertake acute patient reviews when required
- Transfer or discharge patients following consultation with the patients VMO.

**About You**

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate a strong clinical skillset with the ability to manage a broad spectrum of patients across our facility including medical, surgical & rehabilitation patients. You will also have exceptional communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The flexibility to handle a rotating roster with on call components along with weekend and evening shifts are also required.

**You will also bring**:

- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated skills and clinical knowledge to manage a broad spectrum of presentations including medical, surgical and rehabilitation patients
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.

**How to apply**
