**Ovolo Woolloomooloo** is the brand's flagship Australian hotel, located in Sydney's idyllic harbourside suburb of... (dramatic drum roll) Woolloomooloo. Nestled in the heart of the popular wharf precinct, a short walk to the city's central business district, the hotel is surrounded by a wide selection of much-loved dining and nightlife options. Ovolo Woolloomooloo features 100 guest rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, meeting rooms and events spaces, a swimming pool, and Alibi Bar & Kitchen (100% plant-based).

**The Gig**

Ovolo now has a brand new and exciting role with your name on it As our **Hotel Operations Manager**, you will oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure the hotel is running **effortlessly**, efficiently & profitably. Reporting to the General Manager, you will **lead & manage** several departments including Rooms Division, Housekeeping & Food and Beverage with 7 direct reports. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- ** Leading & Managing** our people within the operational departments, outlined, ensuring that their aptitudes, knowledge, understanding of roles and execution of their tasks are of the highest standard.
- Manage the rooms division and F&B budget, including revenue and expense forecasting, tracking, and reporting
- Monitoring and analysing guest feedback, reviews, and satisfaction scores, and making changes as needed to improve guest experiences
- Developing and implementing staff training programs to ensure that all employees have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent guest service
- Overseeing staff scheduling, payroll, and performance management
- Oversee guest services, restaurant, bar, and events operations in a way that maximises efficiency, effectiveness
- Oversee recruitment, including interviewing, contracting, HR administration, and induction process
- Assist Front Office, Night Audit and Reservations teams in the successful operation of their department with a key focus on: customer service, customer relations, sales, correct room allocation, FO reports, innovative packages, yield management; ledger administration, staff costs, reporting, and reservation systems.
- Assist the Food & Beverage team in the successful operation of their department especially in the areas of: F&B cost and control, standards and quality, budgets, efficiency and profitability, health and safety, menu and wine list compilation, sales and marketing.
- Assist the Housekeeping department in the successful operation of their department with particular focus on room & public area cleanliness, cost control and linen management.

**About you**

As our new Hotel Operations Manager, you will have an excellent understanding of hotel operations and a hands-on attitude. You will have a strong financial and operational acumen in Food & Beverage whilst your overall knowledge of rooms management is sound. You will ideally be a director of F&B or operations manager of 2-3 years looking at that critical next step to springboard you to a GM level. This role blends in equal measures aspiration and inspiration, the F.U.N balances with the synergies of commitment, hard work, and guest experience delivery. Oh and you will be **FABULOUS, UNCONVENTAIONAL & NEVER BORING.**
