Product Owner

**About us**
The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.

**About the role**

Service Victoria has delivered its initial three-year program, which included establishing the new agency and delivering a digital services platform of contemporary cloud-based infrastructure, technical architecture and scalable and reusable common capabilities, with real-time integration into agency legacy systems. Service Victoria is now focused on building the future organisation and the appropriate IT organisation structure and capability that will allow the implemented solutions to be maintained, supported and expanded on an on-going basis. You will also have a chance to work on continuously improving our service offering by bringing in structured improvements based on data analytics and insights from customer experience officers. Reporting to the Product Tribe Lead, this is an integral role to ensuring the delivery of significant platform upgrades including tools and operating environment.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Liaise with key stakeholders to identify and develop service reform opportunities to improve services for Victorian citizens.
- Represent and balance the needs of customers together with business requirements to provide vision and direction to the delivery team that enables them to deliver the highest value product suite.
- Analyse customer feedback and the overall the performance of the product portfolio from a business, agency and client perspective to identify and prioritise enhancements to improve Service Victoria's products and the experience for customers.
- Manage and prioritise the product backlog.

**About You**
- Track record of proactive stakeholder engagement, potentially in a business development or similar function.
- 5+ years' experience in product management or product ownership in a digital environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile team and providing guidance and direction for the team.
- Strong experience in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence. Scrum master experience would also be an advantage.
