**Description**:
**The Role**:
We are seeking part time Catering Assistants to work at our University Residential Dining Room in North Adelaide.
Reporting to the Chef Manager, your role is to ensure our students, staff and guests have the opportunity to enjoy their meals in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere with excellent food service and quality.
**Roster**: Evening shifts available Monday to Sunday and also lunch shifts (20 to 25 hrs per week)
**Responsibilities Include**:
Assisting with food preparation e.g. peeling/chopping vegetables, making sandwiches & salads
Friendly customer service
Plating and serving meals to our diverse customers
Washing dishes, cleaning and maintaining kitchen & dining areas
Assisting with preparation and service of functions and conferences
Maintaining food hygiene, security and safety practices
**Skills and Experiences**:
**Key Attributes Required**:
Previous experience assisting in all aspects of kitchen operations and service
Ability to organise work with other team members and take direction
Reliability and availability for various days and hours
Motivated and enthusiastic
First class food safety practices
Ability to comply with OH&S and food safety practices
Ability to work in a fast paced environment during peak service periods
