**About Us**:
Superkote Glass is a leading glass processing plant dedicated to delivering top-quality products and services. We specialise in a variety of glass processing technologies, including straight line polishers, waterjets, CNC machines, and toughening furnaces. We are looking for a skilled Handyman / Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a key role in keeping our machinery and equipment in optimal working condition.

**Position Summary**:
We are looking for a Handyman / Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for ensuring the daily upkeep and maintenance of our glass processing machinery and equipment. You will work closely with machine operators, management, and our external maintenance partners to maintain the smooth and efficient operation of the plant. In addition to regular maintenance tasks, you will assist with general upkeep of the facility, including welding, painting, and various repairs as needed. Experience with glass processing machinery is an advantage, but not essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Maintenance of Machinery**:

- Perform regular maintenance and inspections on glass processing machines such as straight line polishers, waterjets, CNC machines, and toughening furnaces.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery issues to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Work closely with machine operators to identify potential issues and resolve them quickly.
- **Stock Management**:

- Maintain inventory of essential machinery spare parts and tools.
- Ensure timely procurement of spare parts and supplies required for repairs and routine maintenance.
- **General Facility Maintenance**:

- Carry out general maintenance tasks such as welding, painting, and fixing equipment and infrastructure around the plant.
- Assist in ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- **Collaboration with External Contractors**:

- Work closely with management and external maintenance companies to coordinate specialised repairs or large-scale equipment overhauls.
- Ensure all external work is completed on schedule and up to company standards.
- **Support Operations**:

- Assist the team with the setup and troubleshooting of machines during production.
- Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as required to keep the plant running smoothly.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with glass processing machinery is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs.
- Proficient in general repairs, including welding, painting, and basic carpentry.
- Knowledge of machinery spare parts and stock management.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A solid understanding of health and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
