**Yarranlea Primary School** is looking for a passionate and exceptional OSHC Responsible Person to join our unique Outside School Hours Care Facility based at Mt Gravatt. Licensed for 30 children.

You will have knowledge of Outside School Hours Care programs, hold a Cert III and be working towards a Diploma in Child Care or equivalent. This will become a part-time position of a minimum 10hrs per week, working each morning from 7:00am - 9:00am. Further hours will be available in Vacation Care.

Our OSHC service is in a peaceful bushland setting where children play in an environment that allows them to feel safe and relaxed. They interact with friends and educators, practice social skills, solve problems, try new activities, and learn life skills. This hands-on role provides the opportunity for an educator to obtain valuable experience in assisting with the management of a service whilst also caring for and creating a wonderful and engaging environment for the children. We intend to remain a small, caring, community focussed service.

**Role**

The role of a Responsible Person (RP) early childhood educator is to support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. This role requires someone who can work on their own or within a team. The role reports directly to the OSHC Co-ordinator.

**Position Description**
- Includes and is not limited to all Child Care related activities, programming, and planning.
- To maintain compliance with the National Law and National Regulations
- To collaborate with families, staff, and educators in implementing a quality service
- Meeting duty of care obligations to ensure children are protected from harm and hazard
- To keep up to date with child protection training to ensure s safety
- To manage the day-to-day operational requirements of the OSHC service in the absence of the Approved Provider/Nominated Supervisor/Coordinator

**About you**

You are an experienced Diploma, or a Cert III qualified educator who is willing to study towards a Diploma in Childcare.

You must enjoy working with Prep to Year 6 children and be open, spontaneous, and instinctual with children’s play, follow policies and procedures, understand, and have a working knowledge of the NQF, knowledge of the required Regulations and Legislation, and all other necessary Outside School Hours Care obligations.

Reliability, punctuality, being flexible, well presented, and passionate about children’s play within a safe, caring and community minded environment is paramount. Cleaning and food handling duties will be part of your daily routine.

**To be successful in this role you must hold**

current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Working with Children Blue Card. As per Queensland Child Care Health Directive you must be fully vaccinated.
