Working as an Educator at Jabiru Mt Gravatt, you will:


• Support the team to develop age-appropriate, fun and engaging activities for children in the OSHC program


• Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety at all times


• Build positive relationships with parents, staff, and children


• Maintain a clean and organised environment for the OSHC program


• Assist with administrative tasks as needed

About you  

Along with experience as a Program Educator, we're looking for someone who is passionate about their work. Your positive attitude and experience will allow you to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment that is fun, safe and nurturing for children. If you are successful in this role it is essential that you will be available Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

You will also have:


• Strong communication skills


• The ability to work well in a team


• Patience and empathy when working with children


• Knowledge of child development principles

You will have the following qualifications or be studying toward:  

  • Completed Cert or Diploma in Outside School Hours Care, Early Childhood Education and Care, Teacher Aide, Youth Work, Community Services, Disability Work, Human Services and/or Education Support
  • 1-year full time equivalent in studying any of the following qualifications: Primary, Secondary or Special Education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diversional Therapy, Speech Pathology, Creative Arts, Fine Arts, Drama, Music, Sport and Recreational  
  • Current Blue Card, First Aid & CPR or willing to obtain   
  • Previous experience working with diverse communities is an asset
