This firm has a market leading team which is unparalleled in Melbourne. The Environment and Planning practice works closely with the Construction, Infrastructure and Property teams to provide a full service to clients.
- The significant national footprint of this firm gives them access to work that competitor firms cannot service. Their client list includes top ASX listed companies as well as many reputable private businesses and government clients.
- You will have the opportunity to work in a full-service practice, providing both front end advice on major projects and transactions as well as assisting on planning appeals and environmental and planning enforcement.
- This role would suit an Associate looking for clear career progression, high quality work and good team culture.**The Role**
- Providing advice to government and private clients on the interpretation of environment and planning legislation, including obtaining planning and environmental approvals and the development assessment process;
- Advising on land acquisition and compensation claims;
- Preparing and negotiating a variety of infrastructure agreements and contracts;
- Conducting due diligence for national and local transactions on the relevant environment and planning considerations and legislation;
- Advising on planning and environmental compliance, including investigations and enforcements;
- Advising on pollution and contamination liability and negotiating the relevant contracts;
- Contribute to training, development and firm-wide initiatives; and
- Manage and develop client relationships and ensure quality client service.

**About You**
- At least **2 years’ PQE** at a leading firm in Australia in their planning and environment team;
- A collaborative mindset and the ability and desire to work within a high performing team to achieve successful outcomes;
- Developed interpersonal skills and ability to interact with clients and colleagues; and
- Ambition, drive and a commitment to achieving success.
