We are a proud Western Australian co-operative and as Australia’s largest co-operative we are a leader in the Australian grain industry. We have grown from humble roots into one of the world’s largest and most efficient grain supply chains, delivering millions of tonnes of quality Western Australian grain into the hands of customers around the world each year.

Our storage and handling system currently receives and exports around 90 per cent of the Western Australian grain harvest and is regarded as one of the best in the world. We in-load via our own in-house design screw conveyor pits, bucket elevators, ground conveyors, trippers, and stackers into multiple storage types. We strive to continually improve our equipment from site feedback, and we have a strong pipeline of work that focuses on out-loading with multiple new rail loading facilities and expansions of our existing receival sites.

**The Role**

We are seeking a passionate individual to join our engaged and energetic team as an Operations Supervisor at our Metro Grain Centre in Forrestfield, on a permanent full-time basis. The successful applicant will be a safety focused team player, a person who loves a challenge and strives to make each day better than the last..

**Operations Supervisors are responsible for**:
- Working closely with your team of dedicated Grain Technicians, supervising, and coaching the team to ensure the safe, efficient and hygienic receival, storage and transport of our grain- Coordination of staff training and development, task planning, rostering and scheduling- Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with customer and CBH grain quality specifications, deadlines and productivity KPIs- Supporting the Operations Superintendent to ensure safe and efficient daily operation of the Terminal

This role works a rotating shift roster of 5 x 8.5hr day shifts followed by 5 x 8.5hr afternoon shifts. Weekends may be required during harvest; the busiest time of the year.

**Location**

This role is based at our The Metro Grain Centre, in Forrestfield, conveniently located near Perth Airport and approximately 20 minutes from the Perth CBD.

**About You**

You have a passion for leading people and have a safety-first mindset, you want to be part of a large WA Co-operative business that prides itself on delivering for its owners. You are self-motivated to lead a large team and take on responsibilities for the team performance.

**You will**:
- Exhibit a strong dedication to prioritising safety- Have a passion and demonstrated experience in developing and supporting production team- Have experience working in a high performing team orientated operational environment- Communicate professionally and demonstrate a strong work ethic whilst continually striving to exceed expectations- Possess intermediate computer skills- Display the desire and willingness to learn and accept new challenges

**Possession of the following will be advantageous**:
- Demonstrated experience Supervising or Leading a Team- Experience in the Grain Handling Industry and exposure to operations, storage, and quality management systems- Certificate, Training or Post Graduate qualifications in Business, Management, Commerce, or related discipline
