**About the Role**:
We are looking for a **Finance Administrator **to cover a 12 months Maternity Leave on a Part-Time basis working 15 hours a week.

As a **Finance Administrator **, you will play a vital role in building strong relationships, provide full financial reporting on the Department’s property portfolio and act as the key contact for all the Department’s accounting matters for both the Department’s Property and Finance Staff and BGIS Services team members.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide full financial reporting on the Department’s property portfolio
- Act as the key contact for all the Department’s accounting matters for both the Department’s Property and Finance Staff and BGIS Services team members
- Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- General ledger Operations
- Coordinate monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities

**Skills/Experience**:

- Exceptional Customer Service and strong communication skills
- A desire to learn and tech-savviness
- Positive/can-do attitude
- Extensive Finance Management experience
- Sound knowledge and experience with relevant legislation and policies, standards and agreements
- A high level of demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Word
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a financial-related discipline
