**Position Summary**:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Payroll Officer with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant will join a high performance payroll services team responsible for delivering efficient payroll services to approximately 4,000 FTE employees.

**As the Payroll Services Officer your core role will involve**:

- Working with other Payroll Services Officers to deliver a highly accurate payroll service
- Participate in process improvement projects
- Business engagement with a wide range of stakeholders across a number of entities to ensure their needs are met and exceeded
- Deliver high quality customer service
- You will be a valued member of a medium sized multi-skilled Payroll services team with an emphasis on business engagement, knowledge sharing and service delivery.

The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only.

- Experience in a complex high volume payroll environment Strong analytical and problem solving skills Exposure to CHRIS 21 or similar payroll system
- Exposure to an automated time and attendance system Preferably Kronos or similar
- Demonstrated experience with Health awards/agreements or worked in an area with complex award conditions across multiple agreements
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of superior internal customer service at an operational level.
- Having positive can do attitude.
