Production Worker

Shutter Connection Australia (SCA), a subsidiary of CW Products, is a successful part of a growing, private, national manufacturing company that is a market leading supplier of complete made-to-measure roller shutters and their components and sub systems.

There is a now a position available for a full-time production worker that wishes to work in this busy, successful, well-performing medium sized operation that still retains the values of a family orientated business.

In this full-time position you will typically be rostered from 7:30-4:00 Monday through Thursday and will only have to work 7:30 to 2:00 on Friday. There may be some overtime.

To be considered for this position we are looking to hear from physically fit (be able to lift 20kg), mechanically minded, team orientated, reliable individuals that can follow instructions, have an eye for detail (and who aren’t colour blind) and are willing to learn and grow in a company that genuinely values its employees.

Reporting to a Production Manager and working in a tight knit team a day in life for this position will include the following.
- Operating and maintaining different machines, saws, and various power tools and be able to work out offcuts / cut sizes
- Manufacturing roller shutters and assembling roller shutter curtains within a range of colours
- Boxing and crating roller shutters
- Working to required OH&S, Quality and Productivity levels
- Carrying out manual handling tasks involving pushing/pulling trolleys, climbing (stepped) truck platforms, lifting, and carrying product within safe working load guidelines
- General Housekeeping of the factory floor
- Doing occasional deliveries.

Prior experience as a Machine Operator, preferably with Roll forming and/or a trade background would be beneficial but is not necessary to be considered. A manual drivers will be favourable.

We will provide the necessary training and multiskilling in machinery, process, product, and computer knowledge to make you a long-term member of our team.

Competitive remuneration will be provided for the successful applicant who will initially be hired casually with a view to permanent employment.
