Hiring for Data Migration Tester/Lead Tester (ETL Testing) | Baseline Clearance

You will be joining a leading Federal Government Department whose key role is to advise the government on key fiscal outcomes, economic sustainability and growth. We provide sound economic analysis and informed and impactful policy advice on issues such as the economy, budget, taxation, the financial sector, foreign investment, structural policy, superannuation, small business, housing affordability and international economic policy.

**Your new role**

Typical data migration testing duties such as research, analysis, planning, design, writing tests, executing tests, status reporting, defect management, attending meetings and liaising with relevant teams.

Providing a very high level of assurance through testing verification that the data migration process is accurate and that there is no loss or corruption of data.

Being the point of contact for all data migration testing, strategy, planning, status reporting and queries.

Coordinating and sharing work between this role and the other data migration tester.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- 3+ years of recent experience in testing data warehouses, data migration, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Cloud services (including Azure SQL Managed Instance / Azure Data Lake / Azure Data Factory) or similar cloud platforms.
- Excellent Microsoft Transact-SQL skills (scripting, stored procedures etc).
- An excellent understanding and demonstrated experience with all aspects of the data migration testing process (strategy, research, analysis, planning, design, writing tests, executing tests and defect management using Azure DevOps).
- Demonstrated analytical skills to ensure data accuracy at every stage of the end-to-end migration process.
- The ability to develop and implement a data migration test strategy.
- Ability to build Treasury’s data migration testing capability from the ground up.
- Functional system testing experience.
