Join Arup as an Associate / Associate Principal in our Bridges and Civil Structures team, where you will lead the delivery of major transport infrastructure projects across Western Australia. You will play a critical role in technical leadership, mentoring, and project execution while positioning Arup to win key infrastructure opportunities. This is a unique opportunity to shape iconic projects and influence the growth of our bridge design practice in WA.

**The Opportunity**
- Lead structural design and delivery for major transport and infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the Bridges and Civil Structures team.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of detailed designs, reports, and specifications.
- Ensure quality and accuracy through reviews in line with Arup’s Quality Management System.
- Guide and develop team members through effective leadership and delegation.

**Is this role right for you?**
- 15+ years of experience with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, ideally CPEng or eligible and working towards chartership.
- Strong background in bridge and civil structures design for road, rail, and transport infrastructure in WA.
- Strong experience as Structural Lead on major transportation projects (D&C and/or Alliance contract types essential), including working with contractors in this capacity.
- Experience on Main Roads WA and PTA projects (or other Australian authorities) is essential. MRWA ETS/BDS Panel experience is desirable.
- Proficient in analysis and design of various bridge types and articulations (including prestressed concrete and steel) to Australian Standards.
- Experience managing work packages remotely desirable.
- A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring, quality outcomes, and client-focused solutions.
- Ability to corelate commercial and technical outcomes, balancing best for project requirements
