**About the Role**

This is a great opportunity for a **Law Graduate or Legal Counsel**to broaden their understanding of laws affecting retail banking. You’ll assist with providing legal and compliance advice across IMB’s operations, reviewing contracts, supporting key projects and will work closely with branches and departments to ensure IMB’s activities comply with all relevant laws, regulations and industry standards - building the practical, commercial legal skills that set you up for a long-term in-house career.

**What You’ll**do**
- Provide supervised legal and compliance advice on a range of issues including contractual, procedural and operational
- Assist in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with external service providers
- Support front line teams in reviewing documentation and answering compliance related queries from members
- Review marketing and product related documentation
- Support compliance activities and monitoring across key regulatory frameworks
- Help develop and maintain compliance training materials and compliance framework documentation
- Contribute to projects involving new products, services or marketing initiatives to ensure compliance
- Prepare clear, concise legal documents and advice for internal stakeholders.

**What You’ll**bring**
- A law degree, or nearing graduation
- A NSW practising certificate, or working towards obtaining one
- Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A collaborative attitude, curiosity to learn, and the confidence to take initiative
- The ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks effectively
