**About us**

**The opportunity**

We’re looking to hire an **Environmental Advisor** with experience on construction projects and environmental planning capabilities.

You will predominately work in the post approval space where projects are undergoing detailed design, require environmental management plans and reports and/or environmental compliance auditing/reporting, based on your base knowledge of planning approvals.

Whilst you will mostly be based in the heart of **Sydney**, you will be required to travel from time to time to visit projects during construction. We also offer hybrid work arrangement with the **option to work from home** 2 days per week (if desired).

Day to day, you will:

- Provide environmental management advice around post approval requirements and compliance to internal external stakeholders
- Work closely with specialist design teams (e.g. engineers, flood modelers, geotechnical, contamination, ecology and heritage)
- Ensure environmental requirements are communicated to technical disciplines
- Prepare technical reports and associated supporting documentation (e.g. maps, figures, plans)
- Ensure the timely on-scope delivery environmental deliverables, providing environmental support to specialist design teams
- Drive project environmental compliance and performance, including environmental inspections/audits as required
- Get involved in the Planning and Approval process with support of specialists in the team

The work will involve a mix of office based and on-site work within multi-disciplinary project teams and have access to a strong client base in the transport, power, water, property and construction sector.

**What we'll love about you**

You're likely to have 3-8 years’ experience as an Environmental professional including on civil infrastructure projects.

In addition, you bring the following skills and experience in:

- Providing post approval and compliance advice
- Design and construction related support to design teams
- Coordinating technical specialists
- Identification of appropriate mitigation measures for environmental non-conformances
- Knowledge of environmental legislation applicable to construction projects
- Planning, development and environmental approvals would be beneficial
- Relevant qualifications and eligibility for industry affiliation (e.g. EIANZ and IECA)
