**Description**:
POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a qualified OOSH Educator / Responsible Person to join our service at Maitland, NSW.

This opportunity will be available on a permanent part-time basis working across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs for children aged 5 - 12 years old.

As an OOSH Educator / Responsible Person, you are expected to be an active member of a team which provides high quality childhood education and care to children. This includes:

- Developing strong relationships with children at St Nicholas
- Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families
- Implementing the policies and associated procedures of St Nicholas at all times
- Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of St Nicholas

**Skills and Experiences**:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
- Experience in an OOSH service
- Computer literacy
- Experience in sport directional coaching (Desirable)
- The ability to engage with children through playing a musical instrument (Desirable)
- Knowledge and practice of a second language (Desirable)
- The ability to incorporate relaxing / meditation or yoga techniques in an early education setting (Desirable)

QUALIFICATIONS
- An approved Certificate III or Certificate IV in School Age Education level qualification for the purposes of the education and care services, national law and regulations
- Working with Children Check verification number
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (Desirable)
- Child protection qualification
