The City is seeking a suitably qualified Surveillance Officer to assist with our CCTV operations. You will provide excellent customer service and communications to internal and external customers, respond to incidents in an appropriate and timely manner and liaise with police and other government agencies to contribute to a safer city.

Reporting to the Team Leader, this position will support the City by:

- Utilising the City’s CCTV cameras, monitor the throughfares, parks and hotspots in the City and report any issues to WA Police or Rangers.
- Coordinating operational responses to incidents for both the City of Perth and Police.
- Monitoring multiple occurrences taking place at the same time and using initiative and judgement to decide on interception strategies.
- Maintaining a reasonable technical knowledge of the CCTV system.

This position will provide an after-hours focal point service for the City of Perth’s enquiries, complaints and requests for assistance to achieve a satisfactory outcome for the customer and the City, including liaising with Police on complex operations and support in the monitoring of crime scenes, suspicious packages and anti-social behaviour.
