Our client is seeking a skilled Performance Analyst to join their dynamic team. The Performance Analyst will play a crucial role in monitoring and optimizing the performance of their energy systems, leveraging data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Monitor and analyse the performance of energy generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess system efficiency and reliability.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement through comprehensive data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve performance issues, ensuring timely resolution and mínimal impact on operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis to determine the underlying factors contributing to performance deviations.
- Generate detailed reports and presentations to communicate performance findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Implement performance improvement initiatives based on data-driven insights and industry best practices.
- Develop predictive models and algorithms to forecast system performance and anticipate future challenges.
- Utilize advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and statistical analysis, to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize performance monitoring tools and methodologies to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to energy performance management.
- Provide training and support to team members on performance analysis techniques and tools.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to access additional expertise and resources as needed.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives to drive long-term performance improvement and innovation.
- Uphold the client's commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability in all performance analysis activities.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in performance analysis, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Knowledge of energy systems, grid operations, and regulatory requirements is desirable.
