**About the Role**:
Building Blocks Life Coaching (Est 2017) aims to provide high quality disability support services for all ages. We provide an evidence-based, interdisciplinary approach to disability services with a mix of Behaviour Support, In-home and Community care with uniquely developed Disability Mentoring programs. This approach helps individuals with disabilities develop independence and navigate the world independently.

We are seeking energetic minds to join our team and work ‘Life Skills Coach’. A Life Skills Coach is a uniquely crafted role which works from the Behavioural Intervention/Positive Behaviour Support frameworks. Behavioural Intervention is a method of educating people with disabilities, using a range of techniques built on principles of behavioural psychology. This evidence-based approach to life skills coaching examines learner’s Behaviour and seeks to improve academics, communication and language, fine/gross motor coordination, daily living, social development and emotional regulation.

The families of our clients often struggle with day-to-day life of challenging behaviours, teaching life skills and providing overall quality of life for their loved one with a disability. You will be providing home
- or centre-based ‘ABA Therapy’, ‘Disability Mentoring’, ‘In-home Care’ and ‘Community Access’ in an independent capacity, working primarily with children and young adults on the autism spectrum.

Simply put, we believe in all our learners capacity to learn and grow across many important areas of development. We are work with all age groups from Early Intervention to adolescents, and into adulthood. On the job training will be provided for applicants new to the role or updated training for those with experience.

- Highly-developed professional skills including written and verbal communication, understanding of privacy and confidentiality, upholds professional boundaries and ethical behaviour.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- First Aid Certificate - Level 2 (Current)
- Certificate IV in Childcare / Bachelor of Psychology / Bachelor of Education
- Current Australian Driver’s License
