Are you a Strategic Communications professional with a passion for the environment? _

**Outstanding opportunity within the imbedded Strategic Engagement team of a high profile Federal Government Department to develop compelling and meaningful content that will have a positive impact on the environment at a national level.**

Be rewarded and appreciated for your innovative ideas and creative approach in this 12 month non-ongoing APS 6 contract or S26 temporary transfer, with the potential for extension and acting opportunities. Parkes location with flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.

Showcase your strong writing skills and ability to pull together responses to media enquiries, while also supporting development of media releases, ministerial statements and website content in this diverse role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide strategic advice on communication plans, media, content development and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Support the development and delivery of communication projects and media content
- Write, edit, coordinate and quality assure a broad range of communication materials
- Engage and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders

**Key Requirements**:

- Qualifications in communications, public relations or media highly regarded
- Proven experience working in media and/or strategic communications
- Demonstrated experience assisting with the development and execution of communication strategies and plans
- Strong writing skills and the ability to tailor to suit your audience and channel
- Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
- Initiative, judgement and a flexible approach to work
- Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a baseline clearance
