Position : Careers Counsellor

ANZSCO Code : 272111

Annual Salary : $70,000

Superannuation : 11%

Hours per week : 38 hours

Career counsellors play a pivotal role in guiding individuals through their career development journey. They provide guidance and support to individuals in exploring career options, assessing skills and interests, setting career goals, and developing strategies for achieving them. They offer resources, advice, and personalized assistance to help individuals make informed decisions and navigate their career paths effectively. Additionally, career counsellors stay informed about labour market trends and industry developments to provide relevant and up-to-date guidance to empower individuals in making informed career decisions.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Provide information about various courses, pathways, articulation and career opportunities,

11. Assist clients to balance work with family needs,

13. Assist in developing Professional Development Plan which is tailored to students’ career goals,

14. Work in parallel to the Marketing Manager and other staff at the business and ensure consistency in providing the above services,

15. Keep up-to date with the Job Market and its trends,

16. Acquire knowledge about various courses, job agencies, job websites, employers,

17. Follow relevant rules, regulations, policies and laws,

REMUNERATION:
**Qualifications**: Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting or Marketing

**Experience**: At least 2 years of full time related experience

**Key Skills**
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to work in a team and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- A proactive and solutions oriented approach to problem solving

**Mandatory information**

Other employment entitlements will be as per National Employment Standards and Fair work Instruments as prescribed by the Australian Government

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $750,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
