Austral Fisheries currently have an exciting, yet challenging, opportunity for **permanent full-time Seafood Process Workers** to join our Moreton Bay Seafoods team.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work as part of a team to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of frozen prawns.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Defrosting, peeling, sorting/ grading, packaging, freezing, weighing and storage of raw and finished prawn product.
- Ensuring all cartons are ticketed, sealed, and taped.
- Completion of documentation and production reports as required.
- Ensuring all spaces are cleaned thoroughly and kept tidy following the end of production.
- Other ad-hoc factory/ processing tasks as required

Note that our factory’s hours of work are generally 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Thursdays and 6am - 2pm on Fridays (38 hours per week).

You will be paid in accordance with the **Seafood Processing Award 2020**. Any additional hours worked about 7.6 hours per day will be paid at the applicable overtime rate.

**About You**
- Food processing experience
- General knowledge of food safety requirements (desirable)
- Able to work in a chilled process room/ freezer environment
- Able to work early start times
- The ability to work effectively and efficiently within a large team
- An excellent attention to detail

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $21.67 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Seafood processing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)
