The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Dental Assistants to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Prepare equipment, instruments and materials utilised in a variety of dental procedures
- Accurate and proficient assistance and adaptation to an operator where required to provide fourhanded dentistry, retraction and evacuation techniques
- Assist with dental radiography, developing and mounting radiographs
- Assist in the administrative functions associated with Dental Assistant duties
- Ensure equipment and surgery satisfy infection control standards
- Maintain supplies for dental procedures in specific clinical areas

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- Certificate III in Sterilisation and/or Dental Assisting (or relevant higher current qualification)
- Blue Card (GCH will cover cost)
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and Permanent Part time (several positions, part time positions require a minimum of 3 shifts per week)
- Base salary ranging from $66 478 - $69 885 per annum or $33.52 - $35.24 per hour
