**Our Family**:

- We are a friendly, special needs, Christian family currently living in The Basin. We need extra help with our two beautiful special needs daughters, aged 18 and 16. We have a really wonderful team of care givers that assist every morning, afternoon, some evenings and weekends. We need 3-5 more great carers in our team, who would like to add another string to their bow, by learning how to connect and embrace the challenges and rewards of the special needs community. The girls are both delightful and affectionate and can be challenging, with needing extra patience in managing transitions and emotions. They have mild-moderate intellectual disabilities, autism and epilepsy. This position is an opportunity to try special needs caring without overly committing, as we will endeavour to give you some play based shifts during the holidays. And then if you are a good fit, you can be backup for our regular carer shifts and potentially be offered your own ongoing shifts. We are moving house in March-April next year and will be adding a lot more shifts at this time, so there is likely to be some good opportunities to get good shifts. The weekday rate is negotiable - we are offering between $45-$55 per hour depending on your experience. The Saturday rate is $65-$75. And The Sunday rate $85-$95. You will need your own ABN to invoice us for payments. We would love to hear from you, if you would like to meet us and see if this could be a good fit. Our current team love working with our family. **Your Duties**:

- Play activities at first. Then potentially helping with personal care - toileting, showers, getting dressed, driving to and from school or therapy appointments, cooking dinner, doing washing, making beds, taking to weekend activities, 'hanging out' and having fun
