**About the Opportunity**

As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will be working together with the Board and the Management Team to lead the achievement of LDS strategic objectives and goals. This will be accomplished through effectively engaging and motivating the team of 170 passionate and highly skilled staff in pursuit of the objectives, while anticipating risk and managing compliance in this highly regulated sector.

Reporting to the Board, you will drive outcomes by:

- Keeping the people we support at the heart of all operational activities;
- Ensuring LDS’s mission, programs and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders and the community;
- Maintaining oversight of financial outcomes and driving performance against budget
- Securing future funding opportunities and, where feasible, expanding services provided to ensure LDS is sustainable;
- Ensuring risk and compliance are managed effectively across the organisation;
- Facilitating effective communication and collaboration across the organisation;
- Using your entrepreneurial spirit to create new business opportunities;
- Building co-operative relationships with relevant government agencies, funding bodies, and Christian communities;
- Acting as the custodian of organisational culture, ensuring that behaviours and values of all employees support positive outcomes for the people we support.
- Overseeing the design, marketing, promotion, delivery of programs and services; and
- Reporting effectively to the Board.

**About You**

You are a recognised leader with the ability to identify opportunities to advance the endeavours of the organisation. With strong commercial acumen and an innate ability to see and seize opportunities, you have a history of fostering growth. The people you have previously managed will describe you as an inspirational and caring leader who achieves results through others and celebrates their success.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Demonstrated ability to provide strong collaborative style leadership;
- Ability to develop strong relationships with various stakeholders;
- A demonstrated commitment to the Christian ethos and values of LDS, and a willingness to support and promote these values in a faith-based organisation;
- A strong understanding of organisational risk and compliance; and
- Relevant DHS, medical and drivers licence history checks (or the willingness to undergo the checks).

It would be also great if you had:

- Relevant tertiary/AICD qualifications;
- Experience/knowledge of current trends in the disability sector and the changes relevant to the NDIS;
- Previous experience securing funding opportunities within a competitive tendering environment; and/or lived disability experience.
