PhD Scholarship Opportunity offered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Product Design Engineering
- Full-time, fixed-term position (3-years) at our Hawthorn campus
**About the Role**

This PhD opportunity will allow you to develop expertise in a highly sought-after field while contributing to groundbreaking technological advancements.
**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated extensive experience in computer vision and artificial intelligence
- Published 2-3 research papers in top-tier venues (ICCV, CVPR, ICIP, ICPR, IEEE Transactions, Springer journals)
- Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch with proven implementation capabilities
- Substantial experience on deep learning projects, particularly in object detection, segmentation, and classification
- Hands-on experience with sensing technologies, drone operations, or robotic systems
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
**Qualifications**
Hold an appropriate undergraduate, or Masters, degree in related disciplines (e.g. computer engineering, EE, or robotics)
