The Air Force Aviation Program for Women provides young women exposure to various skills, trades and life-style experiences. The program provides hands-on activities, which will highlight the range of career opportunities available within the Royal Australian Air Force. Students will stay overnight on the Base for the duration of the program and all meals will be provided.

The Air Force Aviation Program for Women is a 5-day residential placement for young women with an interest in an Aviation career. Participants will have the opportunity to experience life in the Air Force and the different career options available. This is a money cannot buy experience and there is no commitment to join the Air force post this program.

Information about the Defence recruiting process will also be included in the program. More details will be provided ahead of the program with your offer to attend.
Participants may be involved in activities such as:

- Flight Simulators (not suitable for participants who may be adversely affected by flashing lights);
- Physical Fitness Activities including exposure to a Pre-entry Fitness Assessment (PFA);
- Leadership activities (group trust and problem solving) and supervised events with woman officers and mentors.

This placement can be physically demanding and participants require a good level of fitness.
