**Join Our Team as a Community Engagement Support Worker**

Bill Crews Foundation**, we’re looking for a dynamic and compassionate **Community Engagement Support Worker** to join our Social Health & Wellbeing Services team on a casual basis.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Building meaningful relationships with our guests to identify their needs and provide support.
- Walking the floor, engaging in conversations, and offering a listening ear.
- Providing information, referrals, and advocacy using trauma-informed care practices.
- Assisting guests with essential needs like food parcels, toiletries, and clothing.
- Collaborating with a dedicated team of Intake Workers, Case Managers, and Health Professionals.
- Helping guests navigate pathways to internal and external services.
- Contributing to the team’s growth by sharing ideas and experiences.

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work or similar.
- A current National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination status.
- A compassionate communicator with excellent listening skills.
- Experience in social work, welfare, or a related field.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
- A team player who’s resilient, empathetic, and solutions-driven.
- Knowledge of homelessness, mental health, and alcohol and drug support is a big plus.

**COMPANY OVERVIEW**

The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation provides direct assistance to address the cause and effect of homelessness, poverty and disadvantage. We succeed in achieving this through caring services including food provision, social welfare and education support.

**Please Note**: This position is being managed directly by our People and Culture team. While we value the interest of recruitment agencies and external businesses, we are not seeking third-party support for this role at this time.

Bill Crews Charitable Trust and the Exodus Foundation are separate but cooperating entities. Together, they deliver services and programs under the Rev. Bill Crews Foundation brand name, working to support those in need.

All Bill Crews Foundation employees are required to have completed at least three (3) COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster doses approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status will be required prior to commencing employment.
