**Data Modeller Job Summary**

This Data Modeller position enables the project teams to achieve the following objectives:
Deliver system transformation and modernisation initiatives such as DW migration

Support Data Strategy involving Big Data, Google and other associated Platforms

Model data in alignment with use-cases and self-serve needs

Promote architecture alignment, reutilization, scalability, simplification, and integration with enterprise sources

Business and technical metadata management and best practices implementation

Support data quality initiatives

Maintain knowledge across projects, continuous evolvement and improvement

Work with Data Governance, Architects, Business SMEs and System Integrators

**Role & Responsibilities**

Responsible for understanding information use cases, source data concepts, data quality, business rules

Model data in alignment with use-cases and self-serve needs

Support data architecture alignment, reutilization, scalability, simplification

Align data model with enterprise data modelling standards

Own and contribute in definition and implementation of Data Architecture deliverables with Business & technical metadata

Support data quality initiatives performing activities such as data profiling

Define & manage business rules for standardisation and cleansing

Review, govern and improve data models and other data architecture related artefacts that are delivered by the project

Maintain and contribute to Data Modelling and Metadata Management standards and best practices

Demonstrate ability to deliver quality data architecture in delivery models such as Agile Development environments

Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate & work in a team environment involving a reasonable sized team of developers and business partner resources who are based across multiple locations

Maintain, leverage and share knowledge across projects covering data assets

**Desired Experience**

7+ Years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Management and Big Data

5+ Years of experience as Data Architect specializing in Data Modelling.

Hands-on experience building Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models

2+ Years of metadata definition and management experience

Data Quality & Master and Reference Data Management Solution experience

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sydney NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Authorisation:
