About the role

We’re looking for a career automation tester that has the confidence to determine the best test automation approach for each of our systems and projects at Lifeblood. Reporting directly to the Testing Manager and working with the different testing teams to automate the testing of systems that they support, your role is to implement and maintain those test automation scripts using either our current automation tools/frameworks, or to propose other automation tools/frameworks. You will ensure quality software solutions across the business and collaborate with stakeholders to implement and maintain test automation scripts.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity, with a hybrid work model of working from home and from one of our offices located in either Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide. Sound interesting? Here is what we are looking for:
Accountabilities

Work collaboratively with the testing team, project team, system developers, business analysts, partners/vendors and business users to deliver testing automation

Manage, develop, maintain & extend our existing Test Automation frameworks

Provide test automation expertise and advise to testing and project stakeholders to develop automated testing approaches that deliver the greatest benefit and coverage, with the least amount of maintenance and support

Provide high-level internal consultancy & technical leadership on testing automation toolsets

Skills and capabilities

At least 3 years’ experience working in test automation.

Knowledge of UFT/QTP and at least one other test automation tool/framework is a must (e.g., Selenium, TOSCA, Playwright, etc.)

Ability to code/script in VBScript and one or more other languages such as C#, Java and JavaScript

Evaluation of automation testing tools & test approaches to determine best fit in a mixed technology environment

Experience in using version control systems (e.g., Git / Azure Git)

Experience in test automation of SOAP Web Services, REST APIs

Proficient with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins/Azure Pipelines)

Experience in SQL and databases

SDLC & test methodology understanding with strong experience in creating & executing test plans and scenarios

A customer centric approach with fantastic communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Ability to train and mentor testing staff in how to create, run and update test cases in the test automation framework
