**About the role**

This specific **Automation Test Analyst **position will see you work within a team that helps define the gold standards and ensures the importance of is understood and adhered to.

Given the nature of the work, the role really requires someone with a strong understanding of securities trading including Chess and back-office systems.

**To be considered for the opportunity, you will be required to demonstrate**:

- Experience working with Automation tools - Smartbear TestComplete, Selenium, Tosca, Cucumber, Javascript etc (1-3 years)
- A successful track record in Testing & Quality Assurance (3-5 years)
- Experience implementing a quality, client focused service delivery culture
- Skills to leverage the offerings from Jira and SQL
- Capability in leading SIT and UAT functions

Bonus points:

- A strong understanding of securities trading including Chess and back-office systems
- Experience working with IRESS, ASX Chess and MCM/ DCS Interfaces
- In depth knowledge working with Exchange Traded Options (ETO) & Equities - Clearing and settlement
- In depth finance experience including capital markets and brokerage server
- Knowledge of operating in a multi-vendor environment, strong exposure to financial markets, back office clearing and settlements
- If you have come from an operations background and have moved into a Testing position

**What you’ll do**

At FinClear the **Automation Test Analyst’s **key purpose is to ensure quality in what we deliver to our customers. They achieve their purpose by collaborating with Business users, end users and technology teams to understand what quality means, educating others on the importance and executing on what is required to ensure they are adhered to.

**You are likely to**:

- Create and execute System Integration testing (SIT) and User acceptance testing (UAT), including obtaining Business signoff
- Work closely with Business, Operations, Vendors and other stakeholders for test planning and execution
- Produce system test deliverables i.e. test plan, test scripts, and test data to the agreed timeframes, budget and quality
- Provide input into test plans and the management of defects in line with agreed procedures
- Deliver test documentation i.e. test object matrix, requirement traceability matrix and test cases for planned releases
- Test defect fixes and log new defects including relevant details into a defect tracking system
- Automation of regression testing pack to perform end-to-end system shakedown tests
- Test Environment planning, setup and management to help with readiness for test commencement
- Assist with release management and post release validation checks and reporting
- Other responsibilities as directed by the Head of Professional Services to assist with testing deliverables.
- Leverage Tools such as SQL, Jira, Confluence, Javascript and Smartbear to assist you with the execution
