**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Ongoing Full Time
- Base salary $78,829 + 11.5% superannuation (no maintenance allowance)
- Fortnightly RDO
- Great leadership opportunity

This position forms part of the Periodic Maintenance team whose key objective is to undertake preventative maintenance activities to maximise the life of Council's road and road related assets.

As Supervisor you will oversee the delivery of Council's periodic maintenance program, specifically road shoulder vegetation spraying, hydro-jetting activities, pit and pipe cleaning and minor stormwater asset maintenance.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide leadership and supervise Periodic Drainage team who work from both Leongatha and Foster depots.
- Prepare weekly work plans and review to ensure continuous improvement.
- Liaise with Coordinators to assist in preparing the annual work plans and budgets.
- Oversee the teams cost control of works.
- Communicate with external stakeholders to help resolve intra organisation concerns and specialist matters.
- Manage the road shoulder vegetation spray, hydro-jetting and pit / pipe programs.
- Undertake labouring duties where required.

**ABOUT YOU**

To be successful you will have:

- Certificate III in Civil Construction (Road construction and maintenance) or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in Road Infrastructure maintenance including operation of plant and equipment.
- Experience in supervising, training and motivating a road maintenance (or similar outdoor) team.
- Well-developed communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to carry out manual labouring tasks.

Other desirable qualifications:

- Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision or willing to obtain.
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or willing to obtain.
- Current Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP or equivalent.
- Qualifications on how to operate drain cleaning system MSMSS00019-MSMPER200.
