IPA is excited to partner with our Queensland Government client to source a
**Principal Policy Officer**, specialising in
**Social Policy** in sunny Brisbane.

Armed with existing knowledge and experience in Social Policy, you will be responsible for the development of the organisation's Social Policy Framework.

**Some of your duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Undertake research and critical analysis of government policy and legislation and provide strategic advice accordingly
- Identify potential risks and develop innovative strategies and solutions
- Prepare and review complex reports, briefing notes and submissions
- Deliver presentations and reports to senior executives in relation to policy and legislation initiatives
- Development of the social policy framework and subsequent implementation and communications plans
- Develop governance processes for accountability regarding social policy matters throughout the organisation
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated understanding of what Social Policy is and why the organisation needs a social policy framework in place
- Demonstrated proficiency in the development of policy products, which showcase your ability to develop a social policy framework
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience
- Current police check or ability to pass one
