Investigate and resolve security issues whilst contributing to the design and implementation of IT security systems within a government agency.

**The Company**

Established government agency with approximately 250 staff based in the CBD who prides itself on the development of their staff and inclusive culture.

**The Role**

The aim of this Cyber Security Analyst role is to monitor and investigate security alerts, along with contributing to the security posture across the organisation.

Within this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

- Investigating and resolving security incidents and alerts
- Contribute to the technical security posture of the organisation
- Oversee implementation of security solutions
- Ensure regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits are completed
- Formulate and update security policies and procedures.

You will work in a high performing and collaborative team and have the option to WFH 2-3 days/week.

**Your Profile**

You will have demonstrable knowledge of cyber security procedures, technologies and concepts, along with experience in a Cyber Security Analyst position.

More specifically, you will have experience with:

- SIEM technologies
- Log management
- Vulnerability assessment and management
- Generating security reports
- Cyber security frameworks (ISO27001).

Ideally you will be degree qualified and have further security certifications.

You will have full working rights and need to undertake a Police Check to be successful in this position.
