This independent statutory authority, established by the Australian Federal Government, is seeking multiple Internal Review Officers to join them for a 12 month period.
**Your new role**
This role is a team membership position which will be working closely with prospective participants and participants to understand the nature and context of their request for a decision to be reviewed.
The position has reasonable autonomy and accountability to exercise both initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy. You will be making evidence-based review decisions and communicating effectively with participants and their representatives to explain reasons for decisions, the review and appeals process and available options. There will be a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues.
**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered you’ll have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, managing caseloads and internal reviews effectively and have strong time management and organizational skills. Can deal with confronting and complex situations and information. You will need to have the ability to work as a team to share knowledge in areas of expertise. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial. Full working rights is a must.
**What you'll get in return**
This is a 12-month temporary position with a possible chance of extension. Located in Paramatta. You will receive an hourly rate of $58.50 an hour plus super.
