We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:

- Operate excavators up to 7 tonnes to complete detailed excavation works in and around live public utilities
- Experience working on functioning electrical assets (brown fields).
- Ability to read DBYD drawings
- Experience with civil electrical installations (pit & pipe)

Requirements for this role include:

- Excavator operation qualifications MR
- Current drivers licence
- EWP
- Work at Heights
- Rigging ticket
- VMC tickets are highly regarded
- Previous Main Roads electrical and communications assets is desirable but not essential.
- We are looking for people who are keen to work and have the ability to get on with the team.

**Venture Smart is a 50/50** joint venture between **Ventia and Johnson Controls (JCI) **providing ongoing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) maintenance services & electrical capital works state-wide for Main Roads WA, are currently looking to engage experienced Civil Operators on a permanent basis. Based at our Jandakot depot, the work is on and off mobile plant, physically demanding at times.

Some of the works you will be involved in includes, planned and reactive maintenance of all Main Roads WA electrical assets across Western Australia, including street lighting, traffic signals, speed limit signs, help phones, CCTV, variable message signs, vehicle detection systems, fibre networks, bluetooth travel time units, bores and pumps, and warning signals. We will also manage the repair of damage to assets (e.g. from car accidents, storm or vandalism) and a range of electrical upgrades and capital works related to these assets.
