Accessible and considered content is critical to our success. That's where you'll come in. Our UX writers make sure that we talk in plain language, avoid jargon and acronyms, and put our customers first in every experience.
What you'll be doing, exactly
We're looking for a UX writer with a human-centred approach to their work. You'll be a champion of plain language and accessibility, with the ability to work across many different digital products and services. You take pride in crafting great experiences for those visiting our website, using our apps, following our online guides and reading our posts.
We're a fast-paced and growing team with a lot of work to deliver. Every day will be different, and you'll get to collaborate with some great UX designers, product owners and developers. You'll also help coach our frontline staff and others in plain language, and help them to rewrite material so it's clear, consistent and understood.
As UX Writers at Service Victoria, we craft content to help our audiences and welcome new users. We also work to boost our profile as a go-to resource for Victorians who need to engage with government.
**Responsibilities**:
- Preparing simple, clear instructional content for websiteforms, mobile app and other digital products
- Champion plain language and encourage a customer-centric approach to experience design
- Update and maintain internal documentation and guides to encourage consistency and future reuse
- Work with colleagues and stakeholders to simplify complex language, using influence and negotiation skills to achieve the right outcome
- Assisting with creation for support centre,digital marketing or social mediacollateral or public relations campaigns as required.
