About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and efficient individual to join the Cellar team here at Chandon. As a Cellar Hand, you will be involved in the physically demanding, hands-on operation of our winery.

In this position you will:

- Follow standard operating procedures to complete cellar tasks, such as cleaning, transfers, filtrations, routine additions, barrel work and general cellar hygiene;
- Perform seasonal specific tasks during our Vintage season, inclusive of supervision of casual staff, pressing, floatation, and fermentation;
- Ensure all wines and dose are prepared precisely to specification and delivery deadlines;
- Make a commitment to consistently demonstrating safe and high-quality work practices in adherence to best practice standards.

Job Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will have:

- A strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing;
- Previous experience working in a Cellar, including during Vintage, is preferred
- Attention to detail and an understanding of the quality required to produce wine of a very high standard;
- Be willing and able to perform physically demanding work;
- Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team;
- Be adaptable and have mechanical aptitude
- A valid Australian car and forklift license.
