**About the role**

Located at their Melbourne manufacturing facility, and reporting to the Operations Manager APAC, this role is responsible for inculcating the importance of workplace health and safety across the group. Training, coaching, providing guidance and assistance to line managers and employees to create an employee-led health and safety culture.

**Duties**
- Continue to drive OH&S culture across the organisation
- Inspect workplaces, equipment, machinery & operating practices to ensure they meet safety regulations, while identify hazards & risks
- Ensure that workplaces conform with organisational procedures & safety standards
- Make sure dangerous materials are correctly stored & good housekeeping practices are maintained
- Ensure everyone is aware of, and complies with, all legislation relating to their duty of care, workplace activities & the use of its plant, equipment & substances
- Record & report hazards, accidents, injuries &health issues within the workplace
- Assist with the investigation of accidents & unsafe working conditions, offering possible causes & recommend remedial action

**Skills & experience**
- Experience within a machinery - manufacturing & production environment
- Diploma of Work Health and Safety or a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
- Ability to identify safety issues & prepare a comprehensive plan to achieve goals including a thorough site & workplace inspections & report findings
- Develop rapport across all levels & influence people that do not necessarily report to you
- Well developed written & verbal communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to work autonomously & within a team

**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
