The Opportunity

Ready to make an impact in governance, risk management, and control processes? Join RLA's energetic and high-performing Internal Audit team as an Audit Manager. You'll provide independent, objective, and insightful assurance across the entire organization, interacting with all levels of management. Your innovative approach will support our strategic audit plan and governance obligations, ensuring that our team remains data-driven and customer-centric.

As an Audit Manager, you'll maintain professional relationships with senior management, participating in internal audit assignments to deliver thorough, data-driven insights. Your work will promote transparency, address root causes, enhance risk awareness, and secure management commitment to resolving issues. Additionally, you'll assist in developing strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our audit processes, ensuring they align with RLA's methodology and external professional standards.

This role offers a full-time fixed-term contract (ending December 2025) and embraces flexible working arrangements. You'll have the freedom to work remotely, with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis, ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.

Your Story- At least 3 years assurance experience, preferably in Internal Audit with proven ability to perform process and compliance audits. Experience in the Life Insurance industry will be highly valued- Sound understanding of the financial services industry, relevant regulators, and current and proposed financial services regulatory requirements is highly desirable- Specific exposure to Technology auditing, data analytics and knowledge of the use of data in auditing is also an advantage (e.g. Machine learning, Artificial intelligence)- Comprehensive knowledge of internal / external audit methodologies, with demonstrated ability in adding value in providing these services- Strong report writing, presentation and verbal communications skills- Sound understanding of operational risks inherent or emerging in a business area- Proven customer service orientation.- Qualification/s required- Graduate qualifications in Accounting/Finance/IT or equivalent field- CA /CPA or equivalent post graduate qualification is desirable- Internal Audit Qualification (Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing / CIA /CISA) / Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors - desirable.
