Customer Service Officer

**The YMCA** offers classes for children from crawling age through to 13 years, youth classes from 14 years up, and adult classes. Our programs encourage children to participate in a safe and structured environment. We have a variety of gymnastics programs for different levels to suit everyone's needs.

Gymnasts gain self-confidence, develop personal responsibility and attain leadership skills. They also learn to work together, making friendships that last a lifetime. Our Gymnastics Australia-accredited instructors love seeing students develop their movement skills while they build determination and discipline.

We are now seeking **Customer Services Officers on a casual basis** to join the team at our state-of-the-art Fitness centre based in **Bowen Hills.**

Our programs encourage children to participate in a safe and structured environment. Gymnasts can progress from Kinder Gym through to National Competition levels based on age and skill level. We have a variety of gymnastics programs for different levels to suit everyone's needs.

**About the work space**

YMCA Bowen Hills is conveniently located just off the Inner-City Bypass on Abbotsford Road, close to the Brisbane CBD and Fortitude Valley. With free onsite parking available, YMCA Bowen Hills is one of the easiest gyms in inner-city Brisbane to access at all hours of the day.

Our centre hosts a full service 24/7 gym, with state-of-the-art equipment, several group fitness rooms and a range of programs and challenges for teens, adults and seniors. We also offer gymnastics classes in our full-size gymnasium. Classes are open to children from age two right through to adults - all ages and skill levels are welcome We’re passionate about fitness - but we’re also big believers in community spirit and belonging. At the Y, you’ll find your fitness family and discover just how fun exercise can be.

**As a successful Customer Service Officer**:
You'll be the sparkle in someone's day as you provide a genuine and warm customer service experience. The role is all about your captivating personality helping members feel welcome every time they walk through our doors. You'll be the face of The Y and offer an engaging and fun atmosphere while you answer general enquiries, facilitate membership subscriptions, bookings, enrolments and promote our programs and services.

**The role involves**:

- Providing high quality, efficient, friendly service at reception, over the phone and in all written correspondence;
- Ensure timely response to customers' needs or concerns
- Provide information about and facilitate memberships, enrolments and bookings
- Marketing and promotion of our programs and services to potential, new and existing members.
- Perform opening/closing duties including cash counting, till balancing, daily cash reconciliations and banking
