**About the role**

The SAMI Allied Health Professional Lead is a member of the SAMI Executive Management Team and is accountable to the Executive Director, SAMI for providing strategic and professional leadership for the Allied Health Professional workforce within SAMI.

The SAMI Allied Health Professional Lead will monitor and evaluate clinical practice and service delivery for SAMI Allied Health practitioners and set policy direction for this workgroup to ensure the advancement and integration of a contemporary Allied Health Professional workforce across SAMI health sites and services.

Develop practice standards for SA Medical Imaging Allied Health Professionals.

Develop and implement systems to support, evaluate and consistently improve SA Medical Imaging AHP practices and healthy work environments.

Ensure strategies and systems are conducive to cost effective delivery of Allied Health Professionals service within SA Medical Imaging.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working With Children Check (DHS)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Educational/Vocational Qualifications:

- Degree in Medical Radiation and registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner Diagnostic Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPB).
