**About the role**:
Our government client is seeking a Test Lead who will have extensive experience leading the testing function in similar; large, multi
- year projects that encompass complex IT systems’ replacement and significant business and customer change delivered across more than 40 implementation phases. This role will, in conjunction with the Test Manager, lead, plan, co-ordinate and participate in the testing of the project ensuring that the program’s lead supplier performs their testing obligations thoroughly and to the required standards and quality. The supplier is responsible for systems development and testing up to and including systems integration and non-functional testing. This role manages and delivers user acceptance testing including systems and device and business and customer change acceptance. Experience in the testing and implementation of a smart ticketing or similar solution in the public transport environment would be advantageous.

**Key responsibilities**:
The Test Lead will:

- Develop effective testing plans, scenarios, scripts, processes, tools and reporting that encompass both assurance of the suppliers’ testing obligations and manage the delivery of the testing outside the supplier’s scope.
- Provide assurance of the thoroughness of the supplier’s test activities including defect management and resolution.
- Log and manage defects and incidents identified throughout project test phases.
- Work closely with the project’s Test Manager and Release & Environment Manager to align to software release composition and ensure sufficient environments are available and with Schedulers to incorporate testing activities and interdependencies.
- Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) performed by business stakeholders.
- Have hands-on test experience and a wiliness to collaborate, get involved and problem solve

**Highly desirable criteria**:
Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to deliver within an ongoing dynamic environment, and to develop pragmatic approaches that deliver business outcomes within tight deadlines are essential. The nature of this work requires proactive identification and resolution of risks, issues and bottlenecks to maintain delivery timeframes
