**About the Centre**

Casey Stadium is located in Cranbourne East as a staple facility within the Casey Complex precinct and has a long history of providing indoor sporting experience to the surrounding community. Our café and catering offerings source quality food, offer a varied and innovative menu with the flexibility to cater for all, serviced by an experienced team of professionals who pride themselves on superior service and excellence.

**About the role**

As a Program Coach you will be responsible for delivering positive and engaging experiences for participants in a range of YMCA Sport Programs including Cricket Blast, Hot Shots tennis, MiniRoos, School Holiday Sport Programs and Birthday Parties. In this role you will plan and deliver challenging and developmentally appropriate sports programs for children, with a future view of reviewing and developing new programs. Aspects of the role will include:

- Instructs and interacts with participants and guardians providing effective direction, feedback and support
- Ability to plan comprehensively for required classes including yearly and term plans
- Construct and implement lesson plans that are engaging, promote group-teaching methods, combine skill development with fun, physical activity and enhancing the developmental assets aspect of YMCA programs
- Ability to direct and support volunteer coaches
- Cooperate with other coaches to ensure smooth rotations from one apparatus to the next
- Keep abreast of new and innovative teaching techniques

This is a casual position and the hourly rate is $27.95 per hour.

**About you**

As a Program Coach, you will enjoy working in a team based environment and have a genuine concern and interest in the wellbeing and educational needs of children. You will:

- Act in a mature, reliable and professional manner towards the participants and colleagues
- Teach and model effective problem solving and conflict negotiation
- Display understanding & respect to those of different talents and abilities
- Have an interest and enthusiasm for coaching

**Qualifications and Experience**
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Cert 1 in Sports Coaching, Basketball, Soccer, Netball, Tennis and Gymnastics desirable, but not essential.
