Bloom Disability Network is seeking a passionate, experienced, empathetic and skilled Disability Support Worker with experience in supporting young children to provide care for a young child with a disability.

We’re looking for someone with the following skills and traits:
Fun, energetic and enthusiastic person who enjoys being around children.

Someone who can think in their feet and be able to organise fun and engaging and inclusive activities.

Lots of experience with working with children with a variety of needs.

Caring, compassionate and loving personality.

Someone who is able to thoughtfully follow care instructions and routines.

Tasks will include: nappy changes, feeding, assistance with preparing meals, weekly changing of child’s bed linen, bath and hygiene care, participating and possibly planning fun and engaging activities such as finger painting, puppet shows, crafts, etc.

Actively engage in child’s physical, and verbal goals and assist with at home exercise programs that involve the following disciplines physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

Pay Rate: $33-$43 per hour plus super

10 hours a week with a possibility of more hours towards the end of the year:
Suitable days and hours include:
Monday: 4pm - 9pm
Tuesday: 9pm - 1pm
Wednesday 4pm - 9pm
Thursday 4pm - 9pm
Friday 9am - 1pm
Saturday 9am - 1pm

Must have:
Current First Aid
National Police Clearance
Working with Children Check
Cert III - Cert IV in Disability Support or Equivalent experience caring for children

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $33.00 - $43.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Must be double vaccinated.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Epping VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)

- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
