We’re looking for a Lead Structural Designer/Drafter to join our Resources and Materials Engineering group.

Due to a steady pipeline of exciting and innovative projects, GHD’s Resource Engineering has a great opportunity for a **Lead Structural Designer/Drafter **to assist in growing our drafting team. In this role you will be responsible for leading a small team in the production of detailed structural design drawings on various Australian based resources projects.

**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:

- Managing time allocated to given tasks and distributing workloads to a small team.
- Prepare 3D engineering models and 2D design drawings.
- Drawing checking and co-ordination.
- Collaborating with senior engineers on various technical tasks.
- Design of steel and concrete structures supporting projects within Process and NPI as well as Future Energy and Renewables projects including wind, solar, hydrogen and power transmission.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- A diploma in civil/structural drafting/engineering and experience within the mining industry.
- Knowledge of structural drafting and design principles used in producing final documentation for major miners such as BHP and RTIO.
- 8 years minimum experience in a similar role.
- Experience in Bentley MicroStation is necessary.
- Experience in 3D software such as Revit is advantageous.
- Proficient communication skills and a reliable team player.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a strong focus on the production of quality outputs.
- Knowledge of common data environments such as 12D Synergy, ProjectWise and BIM360 is advantageous.
