AEIOU is a profit-for-purpose organisation, established in 2005 to deliver high-quality therapy and care. Our family-centred program meets the Guidelines for Good Practice and supports children with autism to develop essential life skills, independence, and confidence.

Our research program focuses on monitoring and assessing the outcomes of the AEIOU program as well as assessing the impact ASD has not only on children but on families. We aim to:

- Build an evidence base for the AEIOU program;
- Better understand and meet the needs of children and families attending AEIOU; and
- Provide a world-class resource of information on ASD through conferences, seminars, publications and the media.

**The Position**

The Research Officer's role is to conduct research and data analysis relevant to the provision of early learning and care to children with autism. This assessment is the foundation for our research and is used to develop a database of children's outcomes for both program evaluation and longitudinal research. You will:

- Lead and drive research projects for their full life-cycle
- Prepare and analyse data using statistical software from AEIOU’s research database which contains clinical data on almost 900 autistic preschoolers
- Contribute to the writing of research proposals, reports and journal articles
- Supervise a Research Assistant

**About you**:

- Bachelor degree (Honours) in Psychology, special education or allied health (or similar)
- Knowledge of statistical principles and data analysis
- Knowledge using data analytic software (R or PowerBi preferred)
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills including verbal, research skills and report writing
- Have your COVID-19 Vaccination certificate (double-dosed) or an approved Government Exemption
- Have a current Paid Blue Card (or able to obtain before commencement)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check required if your Blue Card was applied for or renewed post 1 February 2021
